13th South Asian Games - 2019

The 2019 South Asian Games, officially the XIII South Asian Games, is a major multi-sport event which were originally slated to be held from 9 to 18 March 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal. However, the dates have been postponed and the event will now be held from 1–10 December 2019. The new dates were confirmed at the South Asian Olympic Council Executive Board meeting in Bangkok on 1 March 2019. Dasarath Rangasala Stadium will host the men's football, while the stadium is expected to finish under 10 months with an increased capacity of 20,000.The program will be officially inaugurated by President of a local student's club,Ashish Sah.

These Games will feature 28 sports with paragliding making it debut and cricket returning after 8 years. Golf and karate were the two sports added by the hosts as their choice.[6] The highest number of events (20) will be held in swimming. Athletics has the next most with 19. All events must include a minimum of 4 participating teams otherwise it will not be held.
